Our Research Focus
We are focused on understanding the adverse health effects of environmental toxicants and natural chemicals on nervous and other physiological systems. Three specific projects involve the impact of developmental exposure to flame retardant pollutants on metabolic and behavioral phenotype and neurodevelopmental processes; etiology and pathophysiology of Gulf War illness; and mechanistic investigations of the effects of soybean oil diet on hypothalamic circuits regulating obesity and diabetes.
